I am Robin Walton, the owner of Pet Wants Matthews. I am passionate about pets and believe in providing them with the most nutritious, premium, and freshest dog and cat food. As a long-time resident of Charlotte and Matthews, North Carolina, I am delighted to share my expertise in pet nutrition and serve my community.
I am a Registered Nurse with 25 years of experience and have always had a passion for the well-being of people and animals. I have three dogs and a cat, and discovered Pet Wants while searching for high-quality pet food alternatives to expensive brands. I was excited to discover-Pet Wants fresh, small-batch pet food that didn’t break the bank.
My mission is to simplify the complex world of pet food for other pet owners too. Offering quality food to enhance pets’ health, I aspire to create a community hub for pet owners in Charlotte and Matthews, North Carolina. Our single-ingredient treats and chews are made to the same high standards as our small-batch, fresh pet food formulas. I am enthusiastic about sharing my knowledge so your dog or cat can live their best life, too.

History of Pet Wants
Our founder, Michele Hobbs, started Pet Wants out of love and frustration. One of her beloved dogs suffered from painful skin allergies and, no matter what food they tried, her pet continued to suffer. Michele realized very quickly that national dog food brands were not fresh, they lacked complete nutrition and, most importantly, they were filled with dozens of non-nutritious ingredients and animal byproducts.
Michele decided to change that. She found a manufacturer and worked with them to formulate a custom pet food in small batches to be made fresh every month. Her animals loved the food — and so did the pets of all of her friends. Almost overnight, Pet Wants was born.
